Brian Pratt began a ride to raise money for diabetes and to improve the Dialysis Unit at the Brandon Hospital in Manitoba. When he died, his friends continued the ride for him. Here we see Dakota cowboys from Sioux Valley and Pipestone, Manitoba, leading the Ride for Diabetes. When the riders arrived in Sioux Valley, a memorial dance was held in honour of Brian. His family leads the dance. The Pratt family and friends made star quilts and raffled them to raise money for the hospital. Pictured here are Brian's sisters, Donna, Laurie and Romania. |
