Following a rodeo, the community usually gathers for an evening of music and dancing. Quite often, the entertainers are Native country bands, cowboy music singers or fiddle players. In some communities, cowboy poetry has become very popular. There are about a dozen published Native cowboy poets from the Northern Plains and Plateau.
