Indian Villages and Pow-wows have been associated with major rodeo venues such as the Calgary Stampede, Pendleton Round-up, Omak Stampede, Cheyenne Frontier Days, Ermineskin Rodeo, Diamond 5 Ranch Rodeo, Tsuu T'ina Nation Rodeo, and Crow Fair Rodeo since their inception. People gather at memorial rodeos to pray and sing for relatives who have died, and for the relatives and friends who have travelled to attend the events. At many rodeos, people sing and dance, and pray to give thanks.
