Travis Ogle

    Travis Ogle is the great grandson of Hin Hotewin and William Hall Ogle. He grew up on the Ogle ranch at Wood Mountain and presently works on the ranch with his parents, William and Shirley Ogle.
At a very early age he became interested in art and craft. One of his first projects was a tooled leather picture of a buffalo hunter which he completed as a 4-H project.  In 1984 he became interested in wood

Travis Ogle

sculpture. At about the same time he began creating wooden statues of wildlife with a chain saw..
     In 1994 he created a sign depicting the logo of the Wood Mountain Stampede. He has also carved a series of Lakota faces from canyon cedar and cottonwood.
Travis, his wife Crystal and their four children live in a unique log home south of Wood Mountain. Samples of his artistry decorate the home and the yard.
