Description

  1. Consult one of the Christmas catalogues on this site (links above).
     
  2. Bring in a modern, non-specialized Christmas catalogue, such as the Sears Wish Book.
     
  3. As a class, or in small groups, compare the old and new catalogues. Begin by looking at each catalogue's index and then select one or two sections to compare, such as toys, radios and audiovisual equipment, and sports equipment. Specific areas to compare include size of catalogue, variety of items available, prices of items, and imagery used in the catalogues.
