Newman Gottfriedson has recently set up a workshop to make and repair saddles at the Head of the Lake Reserve near Vernon. His customers include working cowboys and rodeo competitors, particularly saddle bronc riders.
Newton Burr used to be a professional rodeo cowboy. He remembers braiding rawhide as a child. For several years now, he has been building and repairing saddles, and working with rawhide and leather.
Ross Fritz specializes in Southwest-style saddles.
