Lita Ferguson
1967-
Lita Ferguson grew up on the Wood Mountain First Nations Reserve. She graduated from high school at Wood Mountain and is presently working with troubled teenagers in Winnipeg while taking classes in social work.
Lita always had a special feeling for horses. Whenever her father returned from riding she would take his horse and wash it with cool water. Many of the first pictures Lita drew as a child were of animals, especially horses. Lita still likes to draw and she also does beadwork.
