Brock’s Coat
Major-General Sir Isaac Brock wore this coat at the battle of Queenston Heights. The hole made by the musket ball that killed him is visible just below his left lapel. He served as the civil administrator and military commander of Upper Canada. Although short of troops and resources, Brock successfully defended the colony during the first months of the war and captured Detroit, Michigan in August 1812.
