Food cache

A food cache is a place where food is safely stored from predators or high temperature. Like the Nadlok people who wind-dried meat to preserve it, the archaeologists dug a hole in the permanently frozen ground or permafrost and placed perishables in it. The cache was sealed with plastic garbage bags filled with moss.
