Over thousands of years of settlement, the bond with the land was essential to sustaining life. Each Aboriginal society developed a complex economy based on local resources and commodities obtained through trade. An Ancient Bond with the Land explores the role of whaling, fishing, communal hunting, farming and trading in supporting Aboriginal societies across the northern half of North America.
