An Aboriginal Presence
Olive Dickason
Olive Patricia Dickason began
her career as a journalist for The Gazette, in Montreal,
and The Globe and Mail, before becoming a professor of
History at the University of Alberta. The author of The Myth
of the Savage, Canada's First Nations, and with
L.C. Green, The Laws of Nations and the New World,
she is proud of her Métis heritage.
In donating a copy of Canada's First Nations to the
Museum, she felt it was important that one of her Métis
sashes accompany it.
